Learning in the Community

Reid Kerr College is committed to enhancing the learning opportunities available in the community to help people of all ages, backgrounds and lifestyles access education and training in local learning centres. The College has developed a number of partnerships throughout Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire, supported by the Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire Councils and an increasing number of voluntary organisations.

Courses are provided at community learning centres during the day and in the evenings. Many of the classes provide national accreditation and certification and an increasing number of students progress to part-time and full-time courses.    

Most of the activities are provided free or at low cost to individuals. There is a wide variety of subject areas available to meet the needs of all members of the communities the College serves.

Programmes include:
Computing, Counselling, Cookery, Childcare, Music, Painting & Drawing, First Aid, Food Hygiene, Alternative Health, Photography, Languages, Business, Beauty, Working with Communities, Social Sciences, Health & Fitness, Sign Language & Multi-media.
