- How and when can I apply for a course?
You can apply online, by telephone to Student Services on 0800 052 7343 and select Option 2 or 0141 581 2222, by completing an application form by post or visit Student Services in person.
- What is the application process?
Most courses require an interview – there are some evening classes that don’t require an interview you would apply and around April you will be sent details of how to reserve a place on the evening course, which will include paying a deposit.

1. You will receive an Application acknowledgment Letter or an email if you applied online (Remember to check your Junk emails, as it may appear in there)
2. If there are still places on the course - An Interview Invitation or choice of Interview dates will be sent to you.3. Dependant on the outcome of your interview you could be sent:
- A Conditional Offer (Pending exam results), Unconditional Offer or Unsuccessful Letter.
- Attached to your offer will be a slip to confirm if you wish to accept the offer or not – you must return this to the college as soon as possible, this will confirm your place on the course or will advise the college you do not wish to accept the offer.
- The next stage will be your Induction Day this is normally close to the start of your course or the first day of your course, the department will advise you of the date.

- Is there a nursery within the College?
Yes there is a nursery for children over 2 years of age – Apply as early as possible, places are limited – application forms are available from Student Services you can call us on 0800 052 7343 or 0141 581 2222 or email at services@reidkerr.ac.uk
- Is there student accommodation available?
The college does not provide student accommodation.
Student Services can provide an accommodation pack with details of properties available within the area.
Reid Kerr College has not viewed the accommodation within the pack and cannot accept responsibility for them.
Emergency Accommodation/Homelessness
You should contact Student Services straight away if you need to find accommodation quickly , we can put you in touch with external organisations who can help.
- Will I be entitled to a Council Tax discount/exemption?
There can be council tax exemptions and discounts available for full time students, to find out if you are eligible please contact your local council.
