HNC Quality
Aim:
The course is designed to enable students to develop higher, more appropriate knowledge, understanding, attitudes and skills relating to the management of Quality and other management disciplines. This will allow the student to function more efficiently and effectively in the Quality Field and in all management activities.
Length of Study:
18 weeks per unit with tutor support. Notionally course runs for 2 years although students may complete it sooner.
SCQF Level: 7
Entry Requirements:
Relevant SQA Units or other appropriate qualifications or experience.
Contents:
Quality Assurance, Quality Systems, Quality Management, Statistical Process Control, Quality Information Management, Quality Documentation for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001, Information Technology, and a Quality Related Project.
Study Method:
Can be undertaken using an open, flexible learning approach or by more traditional classroom methods where student attend college one evening per week from 6.00pm -9.00pm.
Assessment:
Almost all the assessments are done through using case studies allowing students to apply what they know and to use their own work experiences.
Progression to:
Access to possible Management subjects at university.
Career Path:
Qualifies you for a career in Quality Assurance or Management in general.

£660 per year, plus appropriate SQA Fees.
