Professional Development Award (PDA) Childhood Practice

This course is designed for candidates who are qualified in childcare.  The candidate should have 3 years post qualified work experience.  This will provide knowledge and understanding of effective leadership within work teams, maintaining quality provision and investigating childcare in other countries.  The PDA can act as a springboard into a degree course at university.  Subjects include: Childhood Practice and Social Services Developing Leadership, Childhood Practice Graded Unit 2, Developing Professional Childhood Practice, Integrated Working and Collaborative Practice, Managing a Quality Curriculum, International Perspective, Sociology of Childhood, Personal Development Planning.  Candidates are also required to select 3 optional units to complete their qualification.  For further information please contact Davina Coupar on 0141 581 2112 or email dcoupar@reidkerr.ac.uk
