Health for Life : Exercise

 

Aim: 
This course is designed to support individuals of any ability level wishing to develop their physical fitness, knowledge and understanding or provide confidence to engage in career development or further study.

The course specific objectives are:

  • develop an understanding of benefits to be gained through exercise and fitness
  • allow personal knowledge and development of fitness levels
  • promote a healthier and fitter lifestyle

This course additionally can support employers trying to improve health and well-being of workforce

Length of Study:
Flexible up to a maximum of 30 weeks tutor support.

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements.

Contents:
Safe and Effective Exercise, Principles of Exercise and Fitness, Developing your own Exercise Programme.

Study Method: 
Home-based self-study with tutor support and help and, advice from a field specialist.

Assessment:
2 Workbook assessments to be completed at home.
1 Exercise diary completed at home.
